Hello to all! I'm Stef and I've just joined the Tasini team as volunteer coordinator. I hope to meet many of you in the weeks to come as we gear up for the petition drive in early June. Please sign up to volunteer and help us put a progressive, anti-war Democrat on the primary ballot in September.

Why is this campaign so important? As Jonathan writes in his most recent blog entry at Huffington Post, in describing the new (very graphic) flash animation created for us by Eric Blumrich:

I ask in this video a fundamental question: where is the soul of the Democratic Party if it does not stand, in one voice, in opposition to the war?

As a life-long Democrat, from a long line of Democrats, I am asking the same question. I did not hesitate to support and volunteer for Hillary Clinton's campaign in 2000. I have been deeply disappointed. Her unwillingness to stand up to the Bush administration and her acquiescence in supporting the immoral Iraq invasion have left me without a Senator who represents me. That's why I've joined Jonathan's campaign. I hope you'll join us too.
