A reader of our website weighs in from overseas:

“My younger son and daughter-in-law live and work in New York. Although I live abroad in Taiwan, I think about them every day and worry about their future lives. I thank Jonathan Tasini for his efforts to help make those lives more productive and rewarding."

"As a Vietnam Veteran (1970-1972) I feel especially aggrieved at our country's presently misguided misadventure in Iraq: an unforced domestic and geopolitical error of the first magnitude -- one that the two sitting U.S. Senators from New York foolishly supported and therefore made possible."

"Senator Clinton's palpable fear of today's fear mongering Republicans makes her every bit as dangerous today as similarly fearful Democrats proved in the 1960s… Senator Hillary Clinton does not fit that mold of decisive, dedicated Democrat. I think that Jonathan Tasini does."

"Fearful attitudes like Senator Clinton's led America in 2003 into the disaster of an ill-fated War on Iraq precisely because Senator Clinton worried more about Republican lies than Democratic truth. Senator Clinton's fearful submission to rank Republican bullying frankly makes her vulnerable to more political and emotional extortion from them at any time or place of their choosing. Not to put too fine a point on it, Cindy Sheehan has more backbone and better judgment than Senator Hillary Clinton. So does Jonathan Tasini."

Sincerely,

Michael Murry -- Kaohshiung, Taiwan
