Molly Ivins on Hillary and the Beltway Dems

Molly Ivins, one of the few straight-shooting Democratic authors with enough of a voice to affect change, says in the March issue of the Progressive that she has "had it with the D.C. Democrats, had it with the DLC Democrats, had it with every calculating, equivocating, triangulating, straddling, hair-splitting son of a bitch up there, and that includes Hillary Rodham Clinton."

She's not the only one. Ivins adds that she knows of no Democrat who is happy with what the party has been up to as of late.

The Tasini Campaign couldn't agree more-- and we say change should start right at the top, with the defeat of Hillary Clinton in September's Democratic primary. It would send a clear message to the Dems in power that we are not going to allow the party to move ever-rightward and continually to defeat.

We can take a stand now, on behalf of a candidate we believe in. Much as Russ Feingold's run for President would be the progressive alternative to Hillary's, Tasini's run is the very same alternative to her in this year's Senate race.
